Calvin J Li Memorial Foundation is pleased to announce the successful completion of our inaugural Essay Contest "Dreams of My Parents".

We received 55 submissions. The wonderful stories told in these essays touched us deeply.

We selected the following essays for the Awards:

First Place ($1000)

“A leap of Faith and a Leap over a Barrier” by Weining Ding, 11th grade, from Virginia

“The Girl in my Dream” by Jessica Wang, 6th grade, from Florida

“Of Branches” by Kelly Du, 9th grade, from California

“Finding Her American Dream” by Dena Shao, 10th grade, from Maryland
